Posted by admin in January 13th 2011

With the state of the economy in a downward spiral, many people are asking and receiving the benefits of working at home. Many businesses realize the savings they will experience by allowing their workers to work off site rather than at the office. A company could move their operations into a smaller building, their insurance premiums would go down because there are not as many workers to cover and they would also save on utility bills.

One of the major benefits of RHUB’s Web Conferencing Remote Access is that it allows an individual to remotely access their home computer from the office and their office computer from their home without having the burden and extra expense of purchasing another computer system.

Here are a few of the RHUB’s Web Conferencing Remote Access features: an individual can always have access to the Remote Computer no matter if its power is recycled or re-connected; the password for the remote access meeting session is always encrypted in the database and it is not saved anywhere on the computer. It is encrypted via SSL – secure socket layers which is the standard security technology for establishing encrypted links between a browser and a server.  Read more...

Buying a Home Computer: Make a Strategic Decision

Posted by admin in December 21st 2010

Slow down to hurry up’ is a phrase I often heard when I began working many years ago. My boss would always caution me against hurtling towards a predefined goal without looking around. Strange advice? Perhaps. In a world where speed and goal oriented working is encouraged, I was told to ‘Slow down to hurry up’. What he really meant was that keep your goals in mind but tread slowly and carefully, learning along the way. Don’t be so keen on the final objective that you ignore the learning’s along the way. These learning’s are what will keep you at the top. Look for a good computer help services after buying a computer so that in case of any problems it will prove helpful.

I would like to extrapolate this phrase to buying decisions that all of us take on a regular basis, especially technology buys. Most of us are in the market for a home computer at some time or the other. Since its viewed as a one time purchase, most people tend to buy a fully loaded say HP home computer and be done with it. What next, the good-looking box is used as word processor at best or to send and receive e-mail or download music at worst. Many of us never really use the home computer for all its features and benefits. In some case, multiple users together exploit different features at separate times.  Read more...

Posted by admin in November 23rd 2010

I regularly get asked whether its worth repair an old computer or business a new one. I regularly cannot give a directly answer; reason being is because it’s a very open question. I would need to recognize what’s incorrect with the PC and how old it is before giving an answer. I forever try my best to repair home user computers because it’s cheaper frankly talking for the client. For businesses it depends on the scope of the difficulty before I decide to return, because replacing is not forever the right solution. If the computer has a blue screen of death, then I usually replace it with a temporary computer and work on the one which is broken, this way it doesn’t cause the business any commotion and I can work on it using all my time. Anybody who wants computer repair tech help can simply find hold up online that is free of charge. Some of them provide the best online computer repair services tutorials you’ll find on the Internet. Whether a PC owner is a learner or an skilled user, helpful information is gladly available online. VoIP Phone Hardware – What Hardware Do I Need To Setup My VoIP phone?

Posted by admin in July 27th 2010

Most VoIP companies sell all the hardware needed to set up and begin using a VoIP service from a home computer. In the event that you are buying separate components for setting up a home VoIP service there is some installation to be done and a minimum amount of VoIP hardware needed.

The Basics

Depending on the service you are using there may be some small differences, but most hardware will be more similar than different.

* Router and/or phone adapter – This component is the essential part of the VoIp hardware, allowing information to be exchanged between your high-speed internet connection and your phone. There will be a minimum of three plug-in slots in the back of the unit, one for the LAN (computer) hook-up, one for the WAN (DSL or cable modem) hook-up, and at least one slot for the analog phone to plug into.

There will also be a power supply cord. Depending on the phone adapter the number of slots on the back of the unit may differ but there will still be one slot for Ethernet cable and one for phone or fax line. Some VoIp routers also work as a network router to enable up to four computers to share the high-speed broadband internet connection.  Read more...
