Turn off the stove, fix yourself a cocktail and settle down for a mouth-watering culinary competition as five complete strangers battle it out for the title of consumate dinner party host! Each night, one of the five amateur chefs cooks up a dinner party for the other four in their home. This is entertaining with edge as at the end of each evening the guests award points out ten in three categories: food, presentation and entertainment. The host with the highest score out of a possible 120 points at the end of the week wins $1,000. Can the hosts rise to the challenge and write themselves into the recipe books, or do they reach boiling point too soon and make a dog’s dinner of their party? Debbie has been an incredibly comfortable and confident guest at the past three dinner parties, but now it’s her time to host, she’s absolutely terrified. Preparing for her Italian Street festival themed feast, this Italian mama has a mini breakdown in her own kitchen. Much anxiety dissolves however, once her guests arrive. Debbie’s street-fair-transformed living room complete with pushcart stand decorations and game stations impress her new found friends.Games of chance start the evening off, but some are confused by the rules. Next, family style dishes of sausage with peppers and onions, lasagna style eggplant and broccoli rabe win over even the self-described “eggplant hater” and most everyone is blown away by the quality of this “streetfair’s” fare.
